The Kansas Jayhawks were the nation's only 30-win team, winning a Big 12 regular season title and a Big 12 tournament championship and then were rewareded with the top overall seed in the 2016 NCAA men's basketball tournament.

Two other number one seeds were both regular season and tournament champions. The Pac 12's Oregon Ducks were a trendy pick late as the Ducks rolled Utah in the Pac 12 tournament championship game and North Carolina did the same in the ACC.

The Big Ten was represented by Michigan State, Maryland, Iowa, Purdue, Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

The first four of the tournament will play Tuesday and Wednesday and the field of 64 kicks off Wednesday.
