Players Declare for NBA Draft

Providence's Kris Dunn will declare for the 2016 NBA Draft, sources told CBS Sports.

The junior guard is expected to be a top-five pick.

The 6-foot-4 Dunn averaged 16.4 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.3 rebounds this past season.

The Friars went 23-10 this past season and lost to North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament second round.

CBS Sports can confirm reports of the inevitable: Ben Simmons' time at LSU is done.

The National Freshman of the Year will head to the NBA after a season in which he averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.0 steals. The 6-foot-10 versatile forward from Melbourne, Australia, is considered a near-lock to be drafted first or second overall in June's NBA Draft.

LSU went 19-14 this season. It did not receive an at-large bid for the NCAA Tournament, and in light of that, opted to decline any other invitations from postseason events.

If Simmons is taken No. 1 in June, he'll become the first player in the modern era of the NCAA Tournament to be selected No. 1 overall despite having never played in the Big Dance.

Florida State freshman guard Malik Beasley has decided to declare for the 2016 NBA Draft, he and the school announced over Twitter on Monday night.

Beasley, a 6-foot-5 scoring guard from Alpharetta, Georgia, averaged 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in his season at Florida State.

Beasley is currently projected to go as high as the late teens or as low as the early second round. Barring injury, the guard should be in good position to secure a guaranteed contract for next season.
