As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Lady Maroons defeated the Shelbyville Lady Rams by a score 10-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Maroons were led by senior pitcher Alexis Estes who pitched a one hit shutout in six innings. Estes struck out 11, and only walked one. Country Financial representative Stephan York Maroons Player of the Game junior Jillian Miller was 2-3 with two triples and four RBI's. Junior Rodjahnae Dupont-Barlow was 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI's. Junior Bayleigh Holmes was 2-4 with an RBI and a double.
With the win Clinton improves to 5-0 on the season, and 1-0 in the Central Illinois Conference.
Shelbyville falls to 3-5 in the season, and 0-1 in Central Illinois Conference action.
