The Clinton Maroons could only must a single hit against the Shelbyville Rams Tuesday afternoon at Clinton High School as Shelbyville won their opening Central Illinois Conference baseball game, 1-0.

Nolan Hickman was tremendous for seven innings of work Tuesday, allowing just a run that was unearned in the fifth. He struck out ten with no walks allowing four base hits.

Cody Wherry tallied the lone Maroons hit.
