Paxton-Buckley-Loda Uses Big Fifth Inning To Get By Monticello

Six runs in the top of the fifth inning allowed Paxton-Buckley-Loda to rally past Monticello, 9-8, Monday afternoon in Monticello.

 

Jacob Burton, Logan Hislope and Nick Stokowski tallied a pair of hits apiece as the Sages took advantage of early miscues from PBL, however, the Panthers bats came alive in the fifth.

Cam Wittig got the start, going four innings, allowing three runs, one earned with four strikeouts and issued three walks.

 

Nick Hopper was the deciding pitcher, allowing six unearned runs, issuing three walks on three hits with no strikeouts.

 

The Sages drop to 4-2 overall. PBL remains undefeated at 6-0.
