The Masters Opens Today

After a historic run to capture his first green jacket, and join elite company as one of the youngest winners in history, Jordan Spieth will open his title defense at the Masters today.

The world's best converge on Augusta National Golf Club and several have been in Augusta, Georgia for over a week.

Standing in the way of Spieth's defense are of course big names like Jason Day, who has won his last two events, Adam Scott, who has two PGA tour wins already this year, Dustin Johnson has been in contention in a number of events this year and is starting to play well, specifically and most notably, with the putter.

Rory McIlroy will look to exorcise his demons at August, and get that coveted Green Jacket, that would further legitimze his career and get him closer to the career grand slam. McIlroy continues to get better at Augusta National, finishing T40 in 2012, T25 in 2013, T8 in 2014 and finishing fourth last year.

Green Jacket winner Zach Johnson, Two-time Masters champ Bubba Watson, three-time Masters champ Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson, Rickie Fowler, and a host of other golf stars open the season's first major this morning.
