The Clinton Maroons were shutout Thursday by CIC foe Tuscola 4 to 0.

Tuscola's Nick Bates got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He tossed five innings of shutout ball. He struck out nine, walked six and surrendered just one hit.

Nolan Hickman gets pegged with the loss after striking out six, walking one, and allowing four runs, three of which came via a homerun off the bat of Warriors' third baseman Andrew Erickson in the first inning.

The Maroons fall to 2 and 7 on the season, and 0 and 3 in the CIC.

The Maroons will host North Mac, Tri-Valley, and Harvest Christian Academy in a four team tournament at Clinton High School on Saturday. The Maroons will start the morning at 9am Saturday morning against North Mac.
