Former Colts Top Pick Signs With Jacksonville

After struggling with the Colts for three years, former first-round pick Bjoern Werner is going to get a chance to turn his career around in Jacksonville.

The Jaguars announced on Wednesday that they've signed Werner to a one-year deal
Werner, the 24th overall pick in the 2013 draft, had been a free agent since March 8, when he was released by the Colts after an unimpressive career in Indy.

The Colts had high hopes for the Werner, but he never lived up to expectations. The German-born defensive end actually seemed to struggle more and more as his career went on.

In Jacksonville, the 2012 ACC Defensive Player of the Year is expected to compete against 2016 third-round pick Yannick Ngakoue for playing time as a pass-rusher in the Jags' 3-4 defense
