The IHSA has released the Class 3A postseason schedule for boys baseball and girls softball, and the Clinton Maroons now know where they are headed the last week of May.
The Clinton Maroons baseball team won't have far to travel for their opening round game in the Class 3A Regional. Clinton will host Urbana on Monday, May 23rd, at 4:30p at Evans Field as part of the Champaign Central Regional. The winner of the that game will then play host Champaign Central at McKinley Field in Champaign on Wednesday, May 25th, at 4:30p in Champaign.
The Clinton Lady Maroons drew a number 2-seed in the Class 3A Mattoon Sectional. They are the top seeded team in the Rantoul Regional, and will await the winner of Urbana/Mahomet-Seymour. The Lady Maroons first post season action is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24th, at 4:30p at Wabash Park in Rantoul. A win there would move the Lady Maroons into the Regional Championship on Saturday, May 28th, at 10a in Rantoul.
