The Blue Ridge Knights boys baseball squad had hopes of returning to a Sectional Final, and then some this spring, but the Knights hopes ended abruptly at the Roanoke-Benson Regional final Saturday morning in a 1-0 loss to Peoria Christian.

A single run in the top of the first inning off starter Ben Williamson was all Peoria Christian would need for the afternoon, mustering just two hits and and three base runners all day.

Williamson went all seven innings, walking one and striking out 16. He allowed two hits and hit a batter.

Williamson, Isaac Trotter, and Cory Jayne each had base hits for Blue Ridge.

The Knights end their season at 22-12.
