The Nashville Predators will begin their 2016-17 season with two straight
games against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Nashville hosts the Blackhawks in its Oct. 14 season opener. The two teams
meet again Oct. 15 in Chicago.
The Predators released their schedule Tuesday.
All seven teams that Nashville faces in October reached the 2016 Stanley Cup
playoffs. The Predators follow those two games with the Blackhawks by
hosting Dallas on Oct. 18. The Predators then visit Detroit on Oct. 21 before
hosting the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 22.
The Predators' schedule includes two five-game road trips as well as two
four-game home stretches. The first of those five-game trips begins Oct. 26 in
Anaheim.
