Maroons Looking For Repeat Performance in 2016

It was an exciting 2016 campaign for the Clinton Maroons football squad.

The team made the playoffs for the first time in 11 years and provided the school and community with a lot of excitement.

Tonight the Maroons will open up the 2016 campaign trying to continue their success. Head Coach John Hayden says they return a lot of players from last year's team that they will need to step up if they plan on returning to the postseason.

Coach Hayden feels his team is ahead of where they were last year offensively but the defense might take some time because they are introducing a new scheme to their kids.

Coach Hayden says he is ready for the season to start and ready to try to get his team back to the postseason.

The Maroons open the season tonight at Sprague Field at Clinton High School hosting Villa Grove.
