>>Illinois Heads To Big House To Take on Michigan

The Illinois Fighting Illini, off their first Big Ten win in the Lovie Smith era, will head north to take on the Michigan Wolverines at the Big House in Ann Arbor, MI.

Off their 24-7 win over Rutgers last week, the Illini will have their hands full with a stout Michigan defense featuring Heisman Trophy hopeful, Jabril Peppers.

The Illini will need to continue the trend of forcing turnovers and taking care of the football, as their top-5 in the country turnover margin is also tops in the Big Ten.

Michgian Coach Jim Harbaugh and Smith are the first college coaches ever to face each other that have also coached in the Super Bowl.

The last time Illinois traveled to a Michigan team ranked in the top three, the Illini and Wolverines tied 22-22 on Nov. 14, 1992.

The 2010 meeting in Ann Arbor was an instant classic, with the Wolverines winning a triple-overtime thriller 67-65.

Game time is 2:30 pm Saturday and can be seen on the Big Ten Network.

>>Illinois State at South Dakota State

With five of the final seven games of the Illinois State Redbirds season at Hancock Stadium, the Redbirds will hit the road for one of those two games this Saturday.
Coming off a much-needed home win last Saturday, the Redbirds (3-4, 1-3 MVFC) will travel to Vermillion, South Dakota, this weekend to face off against the South Dakota Coyotes (3-3, 2-1 MVFC) in a pivotal league contest for both squads.  Each will be playing to keep their possible FCS playoff hopes alive and stay relevant in the always-tough MVFC conference.

The Redbirds topped Southern Illinois last week 31-28.

Game time Saturday is 2 pm.
