Maroa-Forsyth Football Seeking Another Deep Postseason Run

After the first year in the always competitive Sangamo Conference, the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans football program is hoping to make another deep run in the Class 2A football playoffs.

Head Coach Josh Jostes spoke highly of the Sangamo Conference and felt despite it being the only loss of the season, their third game of the season, he felt as though their matchup with Williamsville was a turning point in the season.

Jostes credits his programs success with the hard work of the students throughout the year. He says this year they have a good balance that makes them a tough team.

Maroa-Forsyth will open the postseason at home against Johnston City.

The Trojans are the fifth seed in the 2A north bracket after an 8-1 regular season.

Johnston City, out of the Black Diamond Conference, went 6-3 this year.

Game time is 2 pm in Maroa.
