Slow Start Dooms Clinton At Central A&M

The Clinton Maroons could not over come a slow start Saturday at Central A&M High School and fell 64-53 in Central Illinois Conference boys basketball action.
Trailing 31-21 at the half, the Maroons could not mount a comeback in the second half despite getting within six after three quarters and dropped to 1-5 in CIC play and are 9-13 overall.
 
Peyton McCubbin led three scorers in double-figures with 17. Austin Rauch added 12 points and Seth Westfall chipped in with ten.
 
The Marons are back in action Friday night when they host Sullivan at 7:30 pm.
