The Class 3A and 4A postseason pairings were announced Friday afternoon and the Clinton Maroons boys basketball team has been assigned to the Taylorville Regional.

 

The Maroons will take on th hosts of the Regional at 7 pm a week from today, February 27.

 

The winner moves on to take on the top-seed of the Effingham Sectional, Springfield Southeast, Tuesday February 28 at 7 pm. 

 

With Central Illinois Conference play in the books and Regional play opening for the rest of the conference members, and the Maroons finishing 2-5 in conference, they will play two non-conference games this week to wrap up their regular season. 

 

Clinton will travel to Mt. Zion Tuesday. You can hear the game live on 92.3 FM WHOW and online at dewittdailynews.com.

 

Friday, they wrap up the regular season at Prairie Central. 

 

The Maroons are 10-13 overall on the season.
