The oringination of March Madness commences tonight when the IHSA boys basketball state finals tips off with 1A & 2A action from Carver Arena inside the Peoria Civic Center.
The Monticello Sages will face off opposite Chicago Orr in the finale of day one semifinal action at 7:15 pm.
The Sages come in off championships at the Tolono Unity Regional, the Monticello Sectional and the UIS Supersection and are 23-5 overall.
The Spartans of Chicago Orr Academy won the Chicago Orr Regional, the River Grove Guerin Sectional and the Joliet Central Supersectional.
The winner plays tonight's 5:30 pm matchup between Kankakee McNamara and Mt. Carmel.
