Late Champaign Centennial Rally Dooms Maroons

Champaign Centennial rallie for four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on to beat the Clinton Maroons 5-3 in non-conference boys baseball action Monday afternoon in Champaign.
 
Trailing 2-1, Centennial rallied with a four-run sixth inning. The Maroons would get a run back in the top of the seventh, but it was not enough as Trey Ryan got the final out.
 
Joel Sarver went 6 1/3 innings, allowing all three runs on four hits with a walk and five strikeouts.
 
Parker West went 5 2/3, allowing five runs, four earned, on seven hits with two walks and zero strikeouts.
 
The Maroons committed three errors.
 
Mac Hickman, Logan Peterson and Jake Wade each paced the Clinton offensive effort with a double. 
 
Chris Monroe hit a first inning home run for Centennial with Cameron Hedge, Kellen Sarver and Joel Sarver each logged doubles. Hedge and Kellen Sarver had RBI.
 
With the loss, the Maroons drop to 4-6 on the season.
