Maroons Rout Meridian

The Clinton Maroons offense came alive Tuesday afternoon for a 13-1 ten-run rule, five inning victory from Meridian High School in Central Illinois Conference boys baseball action.
Jake Wade jacked a two run home run in the third inning and finished 3-for-4 with four runs batted in. Travis Osgood finished 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI as the Maroons pounded out 12 hits. Logan Peterson tallied a pair of hits.
 
Osgood picked up the victory, firing 4.2 innings with eight strikeouts but issued six walks. He allowed an unearned run and three hits.
 
Keaton Thayer got the final.
 
The Maroons are now 9-10 overall with a 5-5 mark in Central Illinois Conference action.
