Matt Carpenter homered and Adam Wainwright turned in his second successive strong outing to lead St. Louis over the San Francisco Giants 8-3 on Sunday, snapping a four-game skid.
Wainwright (4-3) allowed one run and five hits in 6 1/3 innings. Martinez threw nine shutout innings Saturday, and Wacha pitched six scoreless innings Friday.
Randal Grichuk drove in four runs for St. Louis, which handed San Francisco only its second loss in nine games.
Carpenter hit a two-run homer off Matt Cain (3-2) in the fifth. Cain gave up seven runs and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Jhonny Peralta is 4 for 5 since returning from the disabled list Friday. He missed 26 games with an upper respiratory ailment. Peralta singled twice and walked in his first three trips to the plate Sunday.
Lance Lynn (4-2, 2.78 ERA) opposes Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw (7-2, 2.15) in the first of a three-game set Tuesday night at Los Angeles. Lynn has given up two runs or fewer in five of eight starts this season.

Kris Bryant hit two home runs and Jake Arrieta tossed six steady innings to lead Chicago to a 13-6 rout of the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.
Anthony Rizzo and Ben Zobrist also homered, and Willson Contreras went 3 for 3 with three RBIs as the Cubs won for the fourth time in five games.
Bryant went 3 for 3 and was twice hit by a pitch to reach safely in all five plate appearances. It was his second multihomer game of the season and the ninth of his career.
Travis Shaw had a two-run homer in the ninth for Milwaukee. Ryan Braun, activated from the 10-day disabled list before the game, went 0 for 5 with an RBI.
Eric Thames was 0 for 3 and drove in a run with a groundout before leaving in the bottom of the fifth with leg cramping.
Brewers starter Chase Anderson (2-1) yielded six runs and seven hits in four-plus innings for just his second loss since July 25 last season.
Saturday's rainout has been rescheduled for July 6.
The homestand continues with a four-game series against San Francisco. RHP John Lackey (4-3, 4.37 ERA) starts the opener Monday vs. Giants LHP Ty Blach (1-2, 4.15).

Yolmer Sanchez had a two-run single in Chicago's five-run first inning, Holland pitch eight strong innings and the White Sox beat the Mariners 8-1 Sunday.
Holland (4-3) gave up a run and six hits while striking out six and walking two. He finished his longest outing of the season by striking out the side in the eighth inning.
Seattle starter Chris Heston (0-1), recalled from Triple-A Tacoma before the game to make his first major league start since Oct. 2, 2015, was roughed up for seven runs and seven hits in three innings. He walked the bases loaded in the first before giving up four straight hits.
Tim Anderson had three hits and two RBIs for the White Sox, including his fifth home run - a solo shot in the third inning - and Matt Davidson added two hits and two RBIs. Sanchez's single in the first extended his hitting streak to 12 games, tying a career high.
Nelson Cruz hit his 11th home run in the seventh for the Mariners, who have lost three straight.
The White Sox turned four double plays, equaling the team's season high - set Saturday.
Miguel Gonzalez (3-4, 4.29) starts in Chicago's series opener at Arizona. Gonzalez is 0-4 with a 6.94 ERA in his last four starts.
