The Decatur LSA football program has been hit with a number of challenges as the season has gone along and has answered the bell.
The next challenge is round one of the IHSA football playoffs. Head Coach Craig Bundy indicates in the sixth year of the program, they battle a numbers game but a group that has a great work ethic.
LSA will face a familiar foe in Toledo-Cumberland when they come to Decatur Saturday for a first round 1A matchup. Coach Bundy says the Rockets are program they have a lot of respect for.
The Lions had to overcome a season with injuries in key spots. Coach Bundy indicates it took his team a few weeks to regroup but they came together and finished the year strong.
The two squads will square off Friday night at 7 pm. Each enters postseason play 7-2 overall.
