Sticking with the program and overcoming adversity has helped the Decatur MacArthur Generals return to the postseason after an impressive regular season.
With a signature win over state power Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin this year, coach Derek Spates likes the way his team has come together this season.
Spates says their strategy isn't difficult. They want the athletes they have to make a play and for their defense to confuse the opposition.
The Generals wrapped up the regular season 7-2 overall. They will host Peoria Notre Dame Saturday at 3 pm in Decatur.
