The Sages host 7-2 North Boone Saturday in the opener of what they hope is another long postseason run. Coach Cully Welter knows North Boone poses a lot of challenges.

 

 

Monticello faced two straight state ranked opponents and their final five games were against teams that made the postseason from the newly formed Illini Prairie Conference. Welter is hoping that stretch of the schedule has them ready for the postseason.

 

 

Monticello had three dynamic playmakers to replace on offense from last year. While this year's offense hasn't been as prolific, they have made plays and put points on the board.
