Monticello's Nathan Harman Named All-State; Monticello Track Star Commits To Louisville

Monticello High School senior Nathan Harman was named a first team all-state selection Thursday.
 
Harman anchored a Sages defense that made it to the second round of the IHSA 3A playoffs this year and made a semi-final game last year.
 
Other area all-state selections included Bloomington Central Catholic wide receiver James Morris and Decatur St. Teresa runningback Jacardia Wright.

Monticello track standout Aliyah Welter has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Louisville.  
 
The future Cardinal cleared 12'9" to win the 2A Pole Vault in last spring's IHSA State Meet in Charleston.  
 
She is the daughter of Sages football and track and field coach Cully Welter and his wife Angela who also teaches in Monticello.
