The Clinton Lady Maroons could only muster four fourth quarter points after holding a 31-28 lead to start the final frame and fell to the Riverton Lady Hawks 41-35 Saturday in the 5th/6th place game at the Clinton Turkey Tussle.
Leading 31-28 after three quarters, Riverton outscored the Lady Maroons 13-4 in the final frame and converted 5-of-9 free throws down the stretch.
Alyssa Sauslberry scored all four fourth quarter points for the Lady Maroons and finished with ten points. Madi Filkin led the Lady Maroons with 11 points.
Kaile Beck had six poitns and Destiny Schlessinger and Claudia Workman each added fourt points.
Addison Pals paced Riverton with 24 points.
The Clinton Turkey Tussle was the season opening tournament for the Lady Maroons, who finished 1-3.

Filkin and Saulsberry were both named to the All-Tournament team for the Turkey Tussle.
PORTA's Taylor Danner was the Tournament MVP. Her teammates Kassidy Kirchner Izeyar Lincoln joind her on the All Tournament team.
