In a game heard on 95.9 FM WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com, the Monticello Sages dominated the Auburn Trojans 60-23 Tuesday night in non-conference boys basketball action from Monticello High School.

Calvin Fisher paced Monticello with 17 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Luke Stokowski added 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Sages shot 61% for the game and scored 48 points in the paint to Auburn’s six. The Sages dominated the glass 36-13 and forced the Trojans into 18 turnovers that resulted in 21 points.

Ben Singleton scored eight points. Alek Bundy and Devin Graham scored six points apiece off the bench. The Sages bench scored 21 points Tuesday.

The Sages held the Trojans to two points in the second and fourth quarters. They led 29-11 at the half and 46-21 after three quarters.

Auburn drops to 0-2 and Monticello is 2-0.
