Monticello Blows By Fisher

Luke Stokowski recorded his first double-double this season and the Monticello defense held Fisher to 23% shooting for the game as the Sages blew by Fisher 55-28 at Monticello High School in non-conference boys basketball action Tuesday night.

 

Stokowski’s 14 points and 14 rebounds were a game high. He scored eight of his 14 points in the first quarter.

 

Calvin Fisher finished with 10 points, picking up two personal fouls in the first minute-and-a-half of the game, forcing him to the bench until about the five minute mark of the second quarter, when he scored six points of his 10 points.

 

Ben Singleton added nine points and four rebounds.

 

Stokowski also dished out four assists for a game high.

 

Monticello held the Bunnies to single digit scoring in all four quarters and only Jaden Jones-Watkins scored in double figures for Fisher, finishing with 11 points.

 

The Sages again won the battle of the boards, with a 35-24 advantage. They also controlled the paint, with a 40-8 scoring advantage.

 

The Sages are on the road for their next two ballgames, at Sullivan Friday night and then at Paxton-Buckley-Loda next Tuesday night before they return home for Holiday Hoopla action the Thursday through Saturday after Christmas.
