Illinois football coach Lovie Smith's second recruiting class included two four star players and players from various parts of the country.
The top recruits to sign during the early signing period was defensive lineman Calvin Avery, a top 300 player in the class from Texas, along with offensive lineman, Reuben Unije, from IMG Academy in Florida.
Offensive lineman Julian Pearl, from Danville, was the only recruit from Illinois to sign Wednesday.
The class included eight offensive players and seven defensive players.
