Monticello Blows By Tuscola

Calvin Fisher and Luke Stokowski scored ten points apiece leading a balanced Monticello attack Thursday night over Tuscola 55-25 in the nightcap of their day-night doubleheader in day one  action at the Monticello Holiday Hoopla tournament.

 

Fisher scored all ten of his points in the second quarter, as the Sages used an 18-5 quarter to open up a 28-9 lead at the intermission.

 

Stokowski scored eight of his ten in the third quarter.

 

Alek Bundy and Johnny Dawson each scored eight, Ben Singleton added six points and Devin Graham and Cam Dyson each had five points.

 

The Sages outrebounded Tuscola 29-23 with 12 offensive rebounds and 17 second chance points. Monticello forced 22 turnovers resulting in 19 points and scored 42-points in the paint.

 

The Sages return to action Friday afternoon with Ridgeview, the number one team in Class 1A.
