Fresh off their second straight third place finish in the Holiday Hoopla Tournament at Monticello High School, the Sages will play host to Olympia Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm.

 

While the two squads are in the Illini Prairie Conference, the matchup Saturday will not count towards their conference record.

 

The two squads were seeking a final game during the scheduling process and decided they would meet ahead of conference play in a non-conference format.

 

The Sages enter action 8-1 overall and will have a week between games when they tip at 2:30 Saturday from Miller Gym at Monticello High School. They were recently ranked 8th in the first poll of 2018 in Class 2A following their first loss of the season to Ridgeview, the top team on 1A. 

 

The Spartans enter action at 6-7 overall.

 

The teams conference matchup will be the final game of conference play later in February.
