It's a big weekend for the Clinton Maroons boys basketball squad who is off to the team's best start in nearly two decades.
The Maroons start the weekend tonight in Shelbyville to meet up with the Central Illinois Conference's leaders and then plays at home in the night-cap of the New Year's Shootout at Clinton High School.
The Rams sit atop the conference at 12-2 overall while Clinton is 8-3, the conference's third best out of conference mark. It will be the conference opener for both squads.
