A state title is coming back to Clinton High School as Austin Rauch won the 2A State High Jump competition in Charleston.
Rauch cleared the pole at 6'10' marking a new CHS record. The high jumper said it was experiences througout the season that helped him to prevail on the big stage.
Coach Josh McClerg explained the mindset going into state and the career of his four-year high jumper.
Rauch recently as a Maroon and will be attending Knox College this fall in Galesburg to play basketball, with the possibility of also participating on the track and field team.
