Monticello Sages rallys in 2nd half, beating Pleasant Plains 57-47

Monticello kept close in the first half trailing by one, as Benton Singleton put up 17 points helping the Sages rally in the second half winning 57-47.

Singleton finished the game with a double-double, having 17 points and 18 rebounds. Singleton was also 100 percent from the free throw line shooting 9-9. Ethan Jones chipped in 13 points to help the Sages get a victory along with Garrett Kepley with 8 points.

Pleasant Plains put up no more than 9 points in its first three quarters. They were able to get 22 points in the 4th quarter, but it wouldn't be enough to earn a victory. Chase Schmitt and Justin Guernsey tied for most points with 13. Gage Bartos and Nick Savage would tie in points with 7.

This was the first game for both teams, with Monticello improving to 1-0, and Pleasant Plains 0-1.
