The Monticello Sages and Clinton Maroons will square off tonight at Clinton High School in non-conference boys basketball action in what will be a simulcast broadcast on WHOW/WEZC/DeWittDailyNews.com.

The Maroons are coming off a convincing 77-20 win over Sangamon Valley Saturday night at the New Year's Shootout from Clinton High School.

Matthew Overton scored 18 points in the win and Cal Case added 12. The Maroons are 6-10 overall as their win two snapped a two game skid. 

Meanwhile, Monticello fell to the top team in Class 1A Saturday at the St. Joe-Ogden Shootout. Cissna Park was too much for Monticello late, pulling away for a 61-48 win. The Sages enter action tonight 11-3 overall.

Monticello has won the last eight matchups between the two former Okaw Valley Conference members.
