Sages Edge Georgetown-Notre Dame de La Salette 50-43

Three-point shooting proved to be the difference Tuesday night as the Sages made
eight long balls to down Georgetown Notre Dame de La Salette 50-43. Tuesday's
non-conference matchup was tight throughout before the Sages hot shooting extended
the lead to double-digits in the fourth. The victory extends the Sages' win streak to
five.

 

The Sages were led by Ben Singleton with 16 points and three assists on offense, plus
four steals and four blocks on defense. Devin Graham added 10 points in the win.

 

For the Lions, Michael Wernowsky led all scorers with 18 points in a losing effort.

 

The win improves the Sages to 14-3 on the season, while the Lions fall to 11-7.

 

Monticello sports are back on WEZC and dewittdailynews.com Thursday night at 7
PM when the Sages girls basketball team travels to Maroa-Forsyth to take on the
Trojans.
