A huge 24-point first quarter for Monticello set the tone Friday night as the Sages get
back to their winning ways with a 60-38 win over Chillicothe Illinois Valley Central.
The win snaps a three-game losing streak in Illini Prairie Conference play for the
Sages.

 

Ben Singleton paced the way for the Sages Friday night with 16 points. Ryan Reeder
and Devin Graham each added 10 points in a game that saw ten different Sages
finish with at least a point in the book.

 

The Grey Ghosts were led by Holt Geltmaker with a game-high 23 points and five
rebounds. 

 

With the win, the Sages improve to 16-6 (2-3) on the season. Chillicothe IVC falls
to 10-13 (0-4).
