Monticello's Ben Singleton Named First Team All Conference in Illini Prairie

Monticello senior basketball star Ben Singleton has been named a first team all-conference in the Illini Prairie Conference as announced Thursday morning.

 

Singleton helped led the Sages to a Regional final in 2018-19 and was a part of the 2016-17 team to go to the state finals in Peoria.

 

Bloomington Central Catholic's Tommy Nelson and Luke Yoder were unanimous selections to the first team as was Jack Cook from St. Joseph-Ogden.

 

Other first-team selections included Riley Morris from Champaign St. Thomas More and Joey Murphy from Pontiac.

 

Three sophomores highlighted the second team all-conference as Prairie Central Trey Brazzell, IVC Holt Geltmaker and Unity's Brady Porter were joined by juniors Chance Izard from St. Joe-Ogden and Ryan Weir from Pontiac along with senior Latavius Winston from Rantoul.

 

Bloomington Central Catholic's JT Welch and Olympia's Hunter Berges were an all-conference honorable mention as sophomores, as were BCC junior Cole Davis, Pontiac junior Carter Dawson, St. Thomas More senior Bryson Lee and St. Joe-Ogden senior Joel Orcutt was also an all-conference honorable mention.
