The Monticello Sages boys baseball team opens their 2019 season today when they head to LeRoy to take on the Panthers for a 4:30 first pitch.

The Sages finished their 2018 season with a 25-5 record and a loss in a regional final to St. Joseph-Ogden with a 10-7 loss. 

While losing a large chunk of an explosive offense last year, the Sages return seniors Asher Bradd, a commit of DII University of Illinois-Springfileld, and Alek Bundy, who will be the anchors of this year's offense atop their lineup.

Sages head coach Chris Jones returns for his tenth season at the helm of the program with an overall record of 158-94.
