The Illinois State baseball team lost on the road Tuesday afternoon in Chicago to the UIC Flames, 6-1.
The Redbirds scored in the top of the first inning, but the Flames scored six unanswered runs in the contest.
Joe Butler drove home Derek Parola on a single to right field to go up 1-0 on the Flames. Butler and Joe Aeilts each finished 2-for-4.
Brett Wicklund took the loss for the Redbirds firing four innings and allowed six runs, five earned, on six hits with a walk and two strikeouts.
The loss dropped the Redbirds to 21-15 on the season.
Illinois State will host Sacramento State this evening.
