Murray Goes No. 1 Overall; Packers Address Defense

The 2019 NFL Draft finally got underway on Thursday night, and it was certainly a night to remember for several fan bases. Round 1 began with the Cardinals finally answering the biggest mystery of the offseason by selecting Kyler Murray, which means Josh Rosen should be on the move at some point soon.

With the No. 12 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Packers selected Rashan Gary, defensive lineman out of Michigan. Quick first step for a big man. Insane athlete who played out of position at Michigan.

Best suited as a defensive end in the NFL where his rip move can be hard to counter for offensive tackles.

Seahawks general manager John Schneider made it pretty clear this week that his team was open to moving back during the first round of the NFL Draft and that's exactly what Seattle did when they were put on the clock Thursday.

The Seahawks sent the 21st overall pick to Green Bay in exchange for a package that included three draft picks. In exchange for moving back, Seattle landed the Packers' 30th overall pick, along with two fourth-round picks (114th overall and 118th overall).

The fact that the Seahawks traded down was probably the least surprising thing that happened during the first round of the draft. The Seahawks went into the draft with just five picks and Schneider was eager to add to that total. By trading with Green Bay, the Seahawks added two extra picks to their arsenal.
