Illinois State lost its final game Sunday afternoon at Dallas Baptist by a final score of 11-4. The Redbirds took an early 2-0 lead after the top of the first, but would lose the game and the series.
Jordan Libman hit a two-run home run to right-center field in the first inning that put ISU up, 2-0.
In the third inning, Joe Butler singled up the middle to score Libman to extend the Redbirds lead to 3-1. From that point on, Dallas Baptist outscored the Redbirds 10-1.
Libman led the Redbirds, finishing 4-for-5 with his two-run home run and scored twice. Butler was 2-for-4 while John Rave was 3-for-5 with a triple and a run.
Illinois State drops to 27-17, 9-3 MVC.
