Five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning allowed Paris to walk-off with a ten-run 14-4 win over Clinton Wednesday afternoon from Paris High School.
Paris jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the Maroons scored two runs in the top of the third inning but Paris responded with three runs in the bottom of half of the frame to go up 9-2.
The Maroons scored two more runs in the top of the sixth, but Paris put the game away with their five-run sixth inning.
The five-run sixth was the second five-run inning of the game as Mason Hutchings three-run home run was highlighted a five-run second inning. Hutchings finished 4-for-4 with a triple as well. Garrett King was 2-for-3 with a triple and Bryan Kohlmeyer finished 2-for-4 with a double.
Drew Stacey led the Maroons at the plate. He was 3-for-4 with a double. He also threw 2 2/3 innings of relief, allowing two runs, one earned, three hits struck out two and issued a walk.
The Maroons dropped to 8-10 overall.
