Illinois earned the No. 3 seed for the 2019 Big Ten Tournament and will play No. 6-seeded Maryland at 9 a.m. CT on Wednesday at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha. The winner of Illinois vs. Maryland will play the winner of Michigan vs. Ohio State at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, while the two losing teams play Thursday at 9 a.m. CT.
The Big Ten Tournament is an eight-team double elimination tournament. Four wins in five days are required to win the tournament, which runs through the championship game Sunday, May 26 at 1 p.m. CT.
Illinois is No. 22 in the RPI, the best in the Big Ten and has won 14 of their last 18 games.
