Mt. Zion to Rely on Returning Skill Players in 2019

Mt. Zion will return a group of skill position players that were underclassmen in 2018, part of a team that jumped to 5A and finished 6-4.

Head Coach Patrick Etherton calls the jump to 5A a good experience for the team. With a lot of their skill players returning, they do have some voids to fill on their offensive line.

As week 1 approaches, Coach Etherton says he wants to see consistency from his team. The return of their skill positions has allowed them to add to what they did last year and he says they are much farther ahead now than they were last year.

The Braves start the season with non-conference road matchups at Highland and Dunlap with their home opener against Charleston. Mt. Zion finishes their regular season with three of their final four games at home, and their lone road game at Lincoln.
