Monticello Falls Out of 3A Top 10

Coming off a 40-14 loss at IVC last Friday night, the Monticello Sages football team has fallen out of the top 10 in the latest 3A rankings.

 

The Sages started the season ranked second, after defeating Olympia 42-32 in the season opener, Monticello dropped to fourth and completely fell out of the rankings this week. 

 

Nashville, Vandalia and Quincy Notre Dame enter the top 10 while Williamsville moves up to No 1., followed by Wilmington, Byron, Lisle and Beardstown. 

 

GCMS continues to hold off Maroa-Forsyth atop the Class 2A rankings. Clifton Central kept it's place at No. 3 while Sterling Newman and Decatur St. Teresa flipped places at four and five after St. T picked up a forfeit win Friday.

 

In 1A, the top four remained the same with Central Illinois Conference's Tuscola and Central A&M were third and fourth, respectively.
