Maroons Return to Action in CIC Opener at Shelbyville

Without playing a game, the Clinton Maroons moved to 2-0 in week 2 thanks to a forfeit from Pawnee and so now the Maroons turn their attention to Shelbyville in their Central Illinois Conference opener Friday night in Shelbyville.

Coach Chris Ridgeway tried to keep things as routine as possible during their unofficial bye week but wanted the kids to commit to finding a football game to watch on Friday night.

Ridgeview wanted to use the bye week to get healthy before they hit the road for Shelbyville. He says it's been a win-lose situation, some guys are healthier and some guys are still on the mend after Salt Fork.
