After two straight disappointing losses, the Illinois Fighting Illini football team will head into a bye week trying to figure things out.

The Illini were gashed for almost 700 yards of total offense against the Nebraska Cornhuskers last Saturday night as Nebraska stormed back in the second half for a 42-38 win. 

The Illini defense was on the field for almost 40 minutes against Nebraska. The Cornhuskers dominated time of possession 37:04 to 22:56.

Illinois was just 1 for 12 on third down last Saturday night and Nebraska finished 11 for 19.

Illinois heads to Minneapolis next Saturday afternoon for a 2:30 pm kick against Minnesota.
