Coming off a thrilling 21-14 win over Bloomington Central Catholic at Monticello High School for Homecoming, Monticello hits the road for perhaps their stiffest test since a loss at IVC in week 2 when the Sages make the trip down the Monticello Blacktop to take on the Unity Rockets in Illini Prairie Conference football action Friday night.

The Sages held off BCC on a the final play from scrimmage by knocking down a pass on fourth down, preserving the lead and the win. Coach Cully Welter was very happy for his kids after the game and felt they played a much improved BCC squad very tough.

Coach Welter anticipates Tolono Unity being back to their traditional ground and pound attack. He says it'll be another challenge for his young team.
