Monticello Blows By Pontiac

As heard on WEZC Friday night, Chris Brown returned the opening kick-off 80 yards for a touchdown and Monticello scored on every possession of the first half and raced past Pontiac 59-7 in Illini Prairie Conference football action. 

 

Nic Tackels connected on touchdown passes of five yards, 31 yards and 68 yards in the first half. None of his seven passes hit the ground as he finished 7-for-7 for 119 yards. 

 

Brown rushed 10 times for 152 yards with three touchdowns. He ran for scores of 23, 41 and 63 yards. 

 

Matt Kerr caught two touchdown passes and hauled in six total passes for 100 yards. 

 

Kolton Knuffman caught a 31 yards touchdown pass. 

 

In the second half, Joey Sprinkle ran for a 12-yard touchdown. 

 

The Sages improve to 5-2 overall and Pontiac drops to 1-6.
