The Clinton Maroons boys basketball team will open the 2019-2020 basketball season at the Mt. Pulaski Thanksgiving tournament taking on Delevan at 8 pm.
The Maroons will look to fill in the holes left by a team that was senior-dominated last year, finishing 11-20 overall and 3-4 in the Central Illinois Conference.
Zeke Hickman returns as the highest scoring player from last year's squad, averaging 8.7 points per game while Clayton Welch and Skyler Williamson saw their fair share of varsity minutes last year and return this year.
The Maroons lost in the 3A Regional quarterfinals last year to Springfield Lanphier.
